The Cat In Question

It’s amazing how fast something can go from cool to racist, depending on which political party comes to power.

I find it is becoming difficult to take these new revelations seriously. What gives? This time some librarian decided that The cat in question is now racist after First Lady, Melania Trump, donated a set of ten Dr. Seuss books to her library.

What happened in “Who-ville” that got past us? It apparently got past Michelle Obama as well. I would LOVE to hear her private take on this. It’s unimaginable that someone would sink so deep in order to create dissension and chaos by labeling one of the greatest warriors against illiteracy as a racist. Dr. Suess was amazing. His mind and creative spirit pulled so many together. He unified all! The story of “The Sneetches” was an outright denunciation of racism. His poems still rise up in my mind. I love Green Eggs and Ham. I even made them for some dear little children once. I might make them tomorrow in honor of the Cat in the Hat!

Horton Hears a Hypocrite

I refuse to name this ignorant librarian; however, I will point out her hypocrisy. Just two years previously she dressed up as the Cat in the Hat.  I guess Dr. Seuss is a racist depending on which party is in office. It’s my bet she will become the newest little darling on the left.

The librarian wrote to the First Lady, telling her:

You may not be aware of this, but Dr. Seuss is a bit of a cliché, a tired and worn ambassador for children’s literature. As first lady of the United States, you have an incredible platform with world-class resources at your fingertips. Just down the street you have access to a phenomenal children’s librarian: Dr. Carla Hayden, the current Librarian of Congress. I have no doubt Dr. Hayden would have given you some stellar recommendations.

She went on to say, “Another fact that many people are unaware of is that Dr. Seuss’s illustrations are steeped in racist propaganda, caricatures, and harmful stereotypes.”

The school where she works was not pleased. They shared with the media that the librarian was spoken to and that they do not support her actions. They did not like the fact that she brought politics into the mix.

I maintain that the Left’s actions are not sustainable. Bottom line...People are tired of rude people.

I will state this again, people are tired of rude people. Everybody is. I am witnessing old friends of mine who were cast into the sea of social forgetfulness changing their ways. I can think of one woman I know who was buying into all the drama, and it was making her crazy. Several friends stepped away. A few of us sat with her and shared our concerns. It was changing her ability to hold her perspective and sense of reason. I believe this level of self-imposed chaos in the body, mind, and spirit is indeed, making people sick— not just mentally, but physically as well. This is starting to show. Look around at people you know. It is not just leftist mentalities; it is anyone who is in constant drama. Our immune systems are taking a hit!

The hypocrisy shown by this librarian should be called out. It is divisive and steeped in identity politics. We must stop giving these people a voice and ridicule the ridiculous instead of promoting it.
